Under New Hampshire’s Forest Canopy

Leaving the pond the next morning a storm developed over me as I prepared to hike out and back up to the AT.

I dropped my rain jacket over my pack and rigged up my Dollar General umbrella that’s somehow survived since Damascus, Virginia.

I took the time to “smell the flowers” along the way.

Wild apple trees. I took a free breakfast break here and started a trend as a handful of hikers came along.

Aside from the removal of such a strict time and mileage table, jumping up has its benefits in the people. Some good dudes around, a few of them from the Hanover time.

The guy on the right has an HD drone and has taken some incredible footage I’m envious of. Next time I hike anywhere, I’m droning up.
